What is ISO 45001:2018
ISO 45001:2018 is the new international standard for Occupational Health and Safety, which replaces the OHSAS 18001/ELOT 1801 standard and can be applied by all categories of organizations regardless of their subject matter, product or product service they provide.
It focuses on effectively controlling all occupational hazards involving both employees in an enterprise, visitors and generally the wider community. Also it aims to achieve improvements in overall health and safety performance at occupational workplaces.

In the context of valid information for all certified Organizations in accordance with the requirements of the OHSAS 18001 standard, BQC informs you that due to the recent global developments concerning the Covid-19 pandemic, the deadline for the transition of the management system you apply from the OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001 standard is transferred from 12/03/2021 to 30/09/2021.
This six-month extension is in effect following the relevant announcement by IAF on 3 April 2020.
Organizations should plan the actions to complete the transition of their Management System to the requirements of the new standard by 30/06/2021.
Certificates whose three-year validity expires earlier than this date are not automatically renewed but the relevant re-certification inspection should be carried out.
